Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing, accessing, or using Memory, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the extension.

2. What Memory is

Memory is a browser extension that indexes web pages you visit and makes them searchable using full-text search. It stores data locally in your browser's IndexedDB.

3. Your data

All browsing data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers (unless you opt into cross-device sync on Pro). You own your data completely. We never access, analyze, or monetize your browsing history.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a Pro subscription or license, your transaction is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your payment card details.

• Subscriptions (monthly and yearly) auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Cancel anytime through your Lemon Squeezy customer portal — access continues until the end of your current billing period
• Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no recurring charges
• On cancellation, Pro features are disabled but all your local data is preserved
• Prices may change, but any change will not affect your current billing cycle

6. Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Here is our refund policy:

• Monthly and yearly subscriptions: You may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase if the extension does not work as described. After 14 days, you may cancel your subscription at any time but no partial refund will be issued for the remainder of the billing period.
• Lifetime license: You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if the extension does not work as described.
• Renewals: Refunds are not available for automatic renewal charges. Please cancel before your renewal date if you no longer wish to continue.
• To request a refund, email support@getmemory.net with your license key or order number.

7. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

If you use the AI search feature with your own API key, you are responsible for your API key usage and any costs incurred with your AI provider. Your API key is stored locally and never transmitted to our servers.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer or decompile the extension
• Use the extension to scrape or systematically collect website data
• Redistribute or resell the extension
• Share Pro license keys with others

9. Browser store policies

Memory is distributed through the Chrome Web Store. The store has its own policies that also apply. If there's a conflict, the stricter policy applies.

10. Disclaimers

Memory is provided "as is." We cannot guarantee that all page content will be indexed perfectly or that search results will always be complete. Browser updates may occasionally affect extension functionality.

11. Data loss

Since data is stored locally, clearing your browser data or uninstalling the extension will delete your indexed history. We are not responsible for local data loss. We recommend using the export feature regularly.

12. Limitation of liability

Our total liability is limited to the fees you've paid in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Turkey.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. Changes will be communicated through the extension update notes or via email for Pro users. Continued use of Memory after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
